Technology
One-man operated truck that fills, flattens, and seals potholes in 30-90 seconds per pothole.
The operator points the patchers delivery nozzle at the pothole and sprays a mixture of asphalt emulsion and stone to fill the pothole which is then topped off by a barrier coating of material to prevent tracking while the repair sets up.
Benefits:
- Longer, lasting pothole fillers (lasts 1-3 years)
- Quick and efficient process (30-90 seconds per pothole compared to 2-10 minutes in DOT’s current pothole repair process)
- Reduced labor cost (only one worker compared to the 4 man team in DOT’s current pothole repair process)
